How old do I have to be to attend a tufting class or candle making?

You must be at least 10 years old to participate in tufting and candle making.  If you’re 17 and younger,  a parent or guardian must attend with you.  The parent or guardian will need to sign the waiver prior to tufting or candle making.

How old do I have to be to attend a paint pouring class?

Recommended ages for fluid art are 6+. Minors who participate in paint-pouring must have a parent or guardian present at all times.    It isn’t just for kids!

Can I bring a guest to my tufting class?

Everyone participating a tufting session must be registered for a class with the exception of adults accompanying a minor.

What should I wear to a tufting class?

Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes.  Wear clothing that is not bulky or extremely loose as it may
interfere with tufting.  If you have long hair, be sure it is tied back and out of your way.

What if I can’t make it to my class?

See our Policy on Refunds and Exchanges.  All purchases for classes are final and are
non-refundable.

Will a class ever be cancelled after it’s scheduled?

If a class would be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances such as dangerous weather conditions or a power outage, the class fees will be refunded.

Do I need to have special artistic skills to tuft?

No!  Our classes are designed for beginners and experts alike to enjoy and complete successfully.  For the best experience, be sure to choose a design suitable for beginners if you’re a beginner.

What do I need to bring to class?

Just your super-fun self!  We will provide you with the tools and materials you need to complete your project.

When my class is over, will I leave with my creation the same day?

For tufting  and candle making classes, you will leave with your creation.

For paint-pouring classes, your unique work of art will stay at our facility for 48+ hours to dry, and you pick it up after that.

How long will my class last?

Tufting classes will last 3 to 4 hours.  If you’re a beginner tufter, it’s important to pick a design that can be completed in this timeframe.  Our team members will help guide you. Fluid art classes will last 1-2 ½ hours, mostly dependent on the size of the acrylic piece you choose to paint.  Prices vary for different characters and sizes.

Can I schedule a private party or private class at The Tufting Studio?

Yes!  See a team member to talk about the details of private tufting parties or paint-pouring parties.  We can easily accommodate parties of 10 for tufting or 15 for paint pouring.  Let us know what you have in mind, and we will do our best to accommodate!

Can I bring my own food and beverages?

Yes!  Alcoholic beverages are allowed.

Can I buy food and drinks while at The Tufting Studio?

Do I need to sign a liability waiver?

All tufters and candlemakers are required to sign a waiver before attending class.  You can preview the waiver here, and you will be required to sign when you arrive.

How do I sign up for a class and pay?

Payment must be made at the time of booking to reserve your spot in class.  See our Policy on Refunds and Exchanges.  All sales are final and non-refundable.

Is there anything else I should know?

Arrive with your tufting design ideas downloaded to your smartphone.  Be sure you’ve read our Policy on Refunds and Exchanges before reserving your space.  All class reservations and payments must be made online.  Business hours are by appointment only.  All tufters must sign a liability waiver before beginning their class.  Call or email us with any questions!

Candle Making

Policy on Refunds and Exchanges

All sales are final and non-refundable.  No exceptions will be made for any reason, including but not limited to the following:

  • Not arriving for your session, whether or not you notified The Tufting Studio

  • Arriving late to your scheduled session by 15 minutes or more.

  • Refusal or inability to sign the liability waiver

  • Unforeseen circumstances such as illness or hospitalization, transportation issues, etc.

  • You are asked to leave the facility due to unsafe or disruptive behavior. 

If you are unable to attend your scheduled session and would like to gift the class to another person, please contact The Tufting Studio at least 24 hours in advance, and we will update our records with your gift recipient’s name so they can attend the same booked session in your place.
